Adobe releases and issues with Parallels shared applications

Adobe released a bunch of stuff today (check FlashMag for details). The Flex Design Extensions are very nice, allowing you to create skins for Flex components in Flash and Photoshop in a much easier fashion.
I tried to install Adobe Media Player (an AIR app, that requires the new beta of the AIR player). However, Parallels had mapped the file extension to the AIR player in my Windows VM, so trying to install AMP resulted in Parallels starting up Windows which wasn't what I was trying to do.
To turn off that functionality you need to edit your VM settings in Parallels. The "feature" is called "Shared Applications". I turned off both options, but that is not enough. You need to boot up the VM once too for the settings to stick.
