FlashPlayer 9 for Intel Macs

You'll have probably noticed all the noise around the recent release of Flex 2, and with good reason too. This is an awesome product and Adobe is out to make sure it catches on this time around by giving away the SDK and "Express" edition of the Flex Data Services for free, in addition to the "sensible" pricing of US$499 for the IDE, FlexBuilder.
If you're interested in Flex you should read this great post by Jesse Warden (Flex 4 teh win indeed :) and then check out Jensa's breakdown over on Flashmagazine.
In order to check out Flex2 apps you'll have to install the new Flash Player 9. Why upgrade? So you can check out all the cool new webapps on the way of course! And now the reason for this post. Mark Anders announced today the release of Flash Player 9 beta for us with Intel-based Macs. No more going in to Parallels to check out examples in XP.
I've been playing with FlexBuilder Beta3 and am about 60% done with my first project. After having worked with FlashDevelop to build AS2-based projects for the past 8 months it truly hurts having to jump back in to the Flash MX2004 or Flash 8 IDE's to build older AS1-based projects (can you say slooow?) FlexBuilder is anything but. Quick, snappy and intuitive I can't wait for the penetration of the player to spread like wildfire so I can start getting paid to work with this puppy.
Now since FlexBuilder is based on Eclipse, which is a Java app and runs on anything when can we expect to see an OSX version? Seriously, give me FlexBuilder and FlashDevelop for OSX and Windows will become nothing more than a test environment and a memory.
