Homebrew Flash player for PSP

Posted on Saturday, February 26, 2006 @ 21:16 CET

PSP Hacks has announced a winner for the Flash player contest, 71M.

The player supports Flash 7 action script. Not everything mind you but a good portion of it.

As for limitations, I would say that people will have to bare in mind that the PSP only has 32mb of RAM.

3mb of that is taken up by the program itself, so there isn't much room left.

The public release date is set to February 28 and it only runs on version 1.0 or 1.5 of the PSP firmware. Time to see if I can find a downgrade - playing GTA: LCS "forced" me to upgrade.

Hopefully the player will allow you to use the wifi connection...

Found via the Make:Blog.

Update: Its official! Phil Torrone over at the Make:Blog has a couple screenshots of the player in action. Time to check this baby out!
